Photo Submission

Eligibility

  1. You ("Submitter") must be 18-years or older to submit photos.
  2. Photos may be submitted by anyone, anywhere in the world. However, if your photo is selected for inclusion in the annual calendar, we will only pay shipping on your free calendar within the continental United States.

Photographer's Release

  1. In submitting the photograph, you, the Submitter, affirm that you are the photographer of the submitted photograph, or have the permission of the photographer to release its use by IndyFeral Inc.
  2. Any photographs received may be used without further consent of, or compensation to Submitter in the creation of publications, signs, broadcasts, billboards, or any other media deemed appropriate by IndyFeral for the promotion of furtherance of TNR, the welfare of free-roaming cats, or animals in general, in accordance with IndyFeral's mission.
  3. Any time a photograph is used by IndyFeral, the photograph will be credited by way of a caption appropriate to the publishing medium. The credit will be given in accordance with the information submitted by the Submitter (below).
  4. The Submitter may, at any time, request that a photograph, or photographs no longer be used by IndyFeral (this is a revocation of Photographer's Release). Such a request must be made in writing and sent via e-mail, or postal mail. Revoking your Photographer's Release more than once will make you ineligible to submit any further photographs for consideration. IndyFeral will not remove from print, airing or publication any photos that are already in use at the time of revocation, where such action would cause a financial hardship or damage to IndyFeral. After receipt of revocation, Indyferal will not use the photo in the production of any new materials.

Selection Details

  1. Photos will be judged by cat lovers, not photographers. Still, the nicer the picture (sharp, clear, well-lighted, interesting subject) the better your chances of its being used.
  2. Each Submitter whose photo is selected for inclusion in the annual calendar will be entitled to a free copy of the calendar.
  3. There is no limit on the total number of photos you may submit, or that we may select for use, but you are only eligible to receive one free calendar per year.

Submitting Entries

  1. You may submit as many photos as you wish, but if you submit by email, we will only accept 2 pictures per day.
  2. Do not submit any individual photo more than once.
  3. Any cat appearing in the picture must be eartipped! The tipped ear does not have to be visible to qualify, as long as you affirm that the cat is eartipped.
  4. All entries will be considered!
  5. Cats appearing in the picture may live indoors, or outdoors, as long as they are eartipped. Many of us have adopted cats that came to us originally as colony cats. It's important for people to know that some eartipped cats started as --and can return to-- life as a domestic cat (under certain circumstances -- we obviously don't advocate adoption for every feral cat).
  6. The photo may depict the cat in any setting. Free-roaming cats live and "work" in a variety of settings from businesses, to urban, to rural.
  7. The photo may be taken at any time of the year. Free-roaming cats are outside year round, so pictures that show the full spectrum of outdoor life are essential.
  8. Photos must not be in bad taste.
